Support Lead Developer

Location: 2 days home based/ 3 days office based

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (may be flexible)

Reports to: Support Manager

Overall Responsibilities:

To lead the team of developers that report into the support team to support existing Business Central customers, maintaining standards and delivering a high level of customer service

Main Areas of Responsibility:

· Working with the applications support team where development skills are required to fix bugs, correct data where necessary and make recommendations

· Direct line management of the developers and technical members of the support team

· Ensure the company's development practises are upheld and ensure the team is kept up to date with new procedures/standards

· Allocation of calls by team member

· Referral to original developer or product team where applicable

· Reviewing skills matrix for team and identifying training requirements

· Mentoring and development of Academy Program recruits as they move through support

· Ensure the rota is covered and cases are allocated in the absence of the support manager

· Working with the account manager and customer services development team to identify opportunities for improvement within customer systems - especially where high volumes of calls are being generated

· Keeping up to date with changes in technology and communication back to team

· Good understanding of 3 rd party products and specialisation where necessary
